Thanks BW (and thanks, J, for the marigolds offer, if it comes to it!). We trust the chap doing the work, which is A Good Thing, especially as I’m one of those people who feels a bit uncomfortable with people I don’t know too well around in our house.

I suspect the next phase will feel the longest, as now that all the preparatory work is done we can’t really *do* anything until everything is properly dried out. The floors in the dining area and kitchen have been exposed now and the whole downstairs smells ever so musty.

I have some before photos and some shots of how it’s looking now, as it happens - great minds and all that! I’ll have to do a ‘before, during and after’ post once it’s all done

Do hope it all gets done quickly and cleanly.

It will be great when it’s done. Just keep telling yourself that. And do take pics of all the stages. They may come in handy one day.

Blimey - glad its all underway even though is sounds like it will be challenging for you both.

I’m busy with marigolds at Burgass again - R’s lodger moves in on Monday !! And I guess R will too when he’s in the country for long enough Or even in Nottm for long enough…..

I am very happy to get the Marigolds on any time to give you a hand. Please never hesitate to ask me
